The NYCBA is a non-profit association organized to protect and preserve the rights of individuals accused of crimes and to serve as a unifying force for criminal defense lawyers in the Greater New York City metropolitan area.
This site is designed primarily as a private online service for Members of the New York Criminal Bar Association. It provides our Members with access to an extraordinary collection of comprehensive resources for practicing criminal defense attorneys in the New York City metropolitan area.
For example, Members can access (a) all the Second Circuit case summaries prepared by Richard Ware Levitt since 1988; and (b) Ed Sapone’s Decisions of the Week, a weekly summary of the latest criminal law decisions from the State and Federal Courts in New York.

Membership Levels
Lifetime Membership
Dues are a single, non-recurring payment of $2,500
Regular Membership
Dues are $150 payable on January 1st of each year
Discounted Membership
Dues are $75 payable on January 1st of each year
Please note that, to be eligible for Reduced Price Membership, the individual must be a State or Federal public defender or a private practitioner earning less than $75,000 annually.
